This page isn’t here to show you everything SNORDIAN has done. It’s here to show sponsors what it takes to build this kind of content types – and what it costs.

Small

Not every project needs a custom editor or a complicated interface. Some content types are focused, efficient, and built to do one job well. Multiple Choice. Cornell Notes. Dictation. Structure Strip. They use a straightforward form-based workflow, keep the user experience clean, and don’t create unnecessary accessibility hurdles.

That’s why they can be delivered in a matter of days. The price? Up to 5,000 EUR plus VAT.

3D Image Hotspots: Repurposing an existing 3D model viewer incl. its visual editor and adding the hotspot functionality and different view configurations.

Story Map: Shipping with a custom visual editor while reusing some components of another project, integration of a 3rd party library for map usage plus logic on top, logic to combine subcontents and display them as the user navigates.

Medium

Small content types are straightforward. Medium ones are where the complications start. You’re adding a custom visual editor, a more demanding interface, integrate third-party libraries, or several existing content types bundled into one. That’s what puts projects like ARScavenger, Crossword, and Transcript in a different league. Early versions of Course Presentation and InteractiveV ideo (before they became the full-featured products they are today) belong there, too.

There’s no perfect line between small and medium and large. But the rule is simple: once the feature set starts creating real development risk, you’re no longer talking about a 5,000 EUR job. A more realistic upper boundary is around 15,000 EUR plus VAT.

Large

Then you have the projects that want everything: a custom visual editor, complex logic controlling every step, and multiple content types working together under one roof. At this scale, you’re dealing with a substantial product in its own right. A project with serious scope, intricate systems, and plenty of moving parts. Branching Scenario. Virtual Tour. And the full versions of Course Presentation and Interactive Video as we know and love them today. These aren’t small apps. They’re major builds, with ambition that refuses to fit inside a box.

The sky is the limit. So is the budget.

Game Map: Custom visual editor with some accessibility challenges, powerful and versatile logic to create branching type adventures, many customization options regarding visual appearance and sound, etc. In its current form, funded in three separate projects by two different sponsors, Game Map took around 50,000 EUR + VAT to build.
